    Checked against the official source:

    Tax accounting is kept in parallel with financial accounting and by different rules. Differences between them are natural, but each must be explainable: it is unexplained differences that become the subject of questions in a tax audit.

    Tax regimes in 2026

    • turnover tax — for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs (IEs) with total income of no more than UZS 1 billion a year (Article 461 of the Tax Code), except, in particular, importers of goods; the rate for IEs is 1% (Article 467); returns monthly, the annual one by 15 February (Article 470);
    • general regime — VAT at 12% (Article 258) with a return by the 20th of the following month (Article 273) and profit tax with an annual return by 1 March (Article 339);
    • on salaries — personal income tax (PIT) at 12% and social tax at 12%, returns by the 15th (Articles 381, 389, 405, 407).

    Retention

    Tax returns and attached documents are kept for at least three years after the year of filing, and documents supporting the right to a tax benefit or deduction — for the entire period of their use (Article 84 of the Tax Code).

    Scope of the service

    • Keeping tax accounting registers
    • Calculating tax liabilities for each tax
    • Preparing and filing returns on time
    • Controlling differences between financial and tax accounting
    • Tracking legislative changes that affect calculations

    Permanent and temporary differences

    Some expenses are never deductible — these are permanent differences. Others are recognised in different periods — these are temporary differences. Mixing up these categories leads either to overpaying tax or to underpaying it, which will be discovered in an audit.

    Reconciliation with returns

    Book data and the returns filed must agree. Regular reconciliation takes little time, but a mismatch between them is the most frequent finding in a tax review and the simplest ground for an additional assessment.

    Hand over your tax accounting

    We will take over tax calculations and returns and set up reconciliation of the books with the returns.

    Frequently asked questions

    What if an error is found after the return has been filed?

    As a rule, an amended return is filed. Correcting the error yourself before it is detected in an audit usually costs less than the consequences of the tax authority finding it.

    What tax regimes exist in Uzbekistan?

    Turnover tax (income up to UZS 1 billion, Article 461 of the Tax Code) and the general regime — VAT at 12% and profit tax.
